The forgotten comma-My first imovie experience
Making an iMovie trailer was so much easier than I expected. I have no technological talent in my body; none at all. I can barely operate my phone. So making a trailer, one that I'm proud of, was so out of my realm of possibility. But using the iMovie app and the trailer making feature was a breeze. I could definitely do this in the future, both for my classroom and just for fun with friends and family. In the classroom I can see myself making book trailers for my students. I have my students pick the books they read in class, because I think that they are more invested in their learning if I give them the agency to pick their subjects. So, instead of just verbally summarizing their choices, I'll make trailers for their choices. The visual learners will be able to connect so much more than before! Also, I can see this as a fun end of the year project for my students. Having them make a movie trailer instead of writing an essay will surely interest some of my students, and will be much more interesting for me to grade. I'm glad this is a skill in my teaching arsenal!
