pages For Ipad
Before this week, I had no idea what the Pages app on my phone and iPad was for. I put it in a folder on the last page of my home screen with the Stocks and News apps, a.k.a. the apps I never use and will never use. But after learning so much about it, I'll definitely be able to use the app in my personal and professional life. In chapter 2, "Getting to Know Pages", my favorite aspect of Pages that I learned about were the templates. I'm not very creative, so when I can just add in my own information to an already beautiful template, my day is made. I also appreciated the explanations of the Format Controls. There are so many different things that can be done with them, I would have gotten overwhelmed had I not had chapter 2. In chapter 3 "Building Your Report", the step by step instructions helped me so much. A lot of times, I need things spelled out very plainly for me, and this iBook did just that! I'll be referring to chapter 3 a lot until I get the ins and outs of the app perfectly. In chapter 4 "Reviewing, Sending, and Collaborating", I appreciate all of the different ways that Pages can be sent. Pages can be saved in different ways and sent in different ways, so no matter where it needs to go, it will get there. In "Going Further", as always, I loved the "Ideas and Inspiration" page. Using the Pages app, I'm going to create prewriting graphics for my students, that way they can learn to prewrite using a familiar template. That way they can prewrite by themselves after my class is over! I'm glad I now have a handle on the Pages app.
